HISTORY
Johanna was the youngest of three boys in District 7. Somehow, they all escaped being reaped for some time. Never taking extra food, surviving on the bare minimum. Johanna was reaped at the age of 17-- only one year before she was ineligible--for the 71st Annual Hunger Games. She appeared as someone who could easily be ignored, someone who would probably die on their own. She made herself invisible so that she wasn’t a target and waited out the other tributes in the woods. When it was down to a small amount of kids, Johanna appeared, dropped her act, and started planting her axe in backs. The Capitol loved it, because it made for such a good show. What an actor!
Johanna actually quite liked life as a victor. Expensive clothes and delicious food. But that only lasted a short time, before President Snow wanted to pimp her out to Capitol residents. Johanna refused and he threatened her family. Johanna pretended it didn’t bother her-- and then Snow made quick work of her family and friends. Johanna went back to the Victor’s Village by herself where she stayed until the 75th Hunger Games, rigged to be all former victors. Being the only surviving victor, Johanna was brought into the Games again.
During the 75th games, Johanna is captured by the Capitol with Peeta. It isn't until a war breaks out that she's rescued from the Capitol, after District 13 is bombed. Peeta is able to warn 13 on television during an interview. Johanna is never seen in these, as she wasn't part of the Star Crossed Couple that was Katniss and Johanna. She was, however, tortured for information on the rebellion.
Annie, Peeta, and Johanna are rescued and brought to District 13. Johanna takes some time recovering, both physically and mentally. She shares a room with Katniss (who was strangled by a brainwashed Peeta) and takes some of her morphling supply. She takes so much of it that she becomes addicted. When they become soldiers, they share a bunk together and become friends. Withdrawal from morphling gives Johanna a hard time keeping up. When Johanna goes into her test to place her in a resistance group, the area is flooded and she has a panic attack. Deemed unfit to fight, Johanna gets depressed. Katniss brings Johanna some pine needles (which doesn’t sound like much, but it was a Big Deal to Johanna). She eventually found her place in making maps for the rebellion, both on paper and digitally.
After the war is over, a vote is taken on whether or not there should be another Hunger Games. This one would be held with the children of the people of the Capitol. Johanna votes yes, knowing President Snow has a granddaughter. However, it never happens. The new leader, Boggs, overrides the votes.
Johanna returns to District 7 as her fellow Victors disperse over the newly freed Panem. Despite being friends with Peeta and Katniss, she choose to live alone in Victor’s Village. She collects books, does origami, and hoards a supply of morphling. She no longer has an addiction but needs it on nights when there are storms. She likes the idea of having a safety net. It’s her choice but she also likes knowing she has a certain amount of it if needed. Morphling and Katniss were the only things to get her through her recovery.
What is your canon exit point?: 8 years post war, very close to the Epilogue.

PERSONALITY QUESTIONS
What skills does your character bring to the situation? Johanna can make maps and scare the hell out of people. She also is pretty strong from throwing axes, though she is a little rusty. If given wood-working tools, she can make trinkets and furniture. Teamed up with someone else, she could even make weapons.
Johanna's map making skills stem from being in a large area full of trees-- she had to have a good sense of direction. It was the only thing in the war that she could do, being terrified of water from her torture and having withdrawal from morphling.
She enjoys making things out of wood, so she will seek out knives and chisels and any other tools that would help her.
Why did you choose this specific character for 6I, and how do you picture them fitting into the game? I think that where I went wrong the first time, was that I brought someone who was a leader. Too many cooks in the kitchen. Johanna isn't a leader, but she does take orders well. She appears to be someone who wouldn't do such a thing, rebellious and rude-- but she's a good soldier. She's also more talkative (even if it's mean stuff). I think the people here could really become endeared to her. That and Finnick is here and he was her very best friend back in Panem. He is also dead where she comes from, so that would be nice for them to see each other again.
How do you imagine your character will survive in 6I, and in what ways will they contribute to the settlement, if any? Johanna has survived the wilderness back home (maps think maybe District 7 was near Montana). She was poor and was able to live off nearly nothing. She went into the Hunger Games twice and lived to tell the tale. Johanna can survive.
As mentioned before, she could help make maps of the wilderness, gather supplies, and she's able to fight if needed.
How will your character react to...
Being separated, possibly permanently, from loved ones and their previous life, including loss of powers, if applicable? Johanna has already been permanently separated from her family and loved ones. Finnick is dead in her world, along with her family. She doesn't have any powers to speak of, so she would be fine with that.
Their environment being manipulated, possibly in strange or extraordinary ways, and possibly in ways which restrain them? Again, Johanna went into the Hunger Games twice. This means there were people actively fucking with her, manipulating the landscape and animals to keep her near the others. Johanna was 17 and 21 when she went in, and now at 28, she would still have those memories and the wherewithal to stay alive.
Being physically and/or mentally manipulated, such as having hallucinations or suddenly possessing special abilities they did not have before? Johanna saw Peeta get brainwashed and attack someone he loved. She was tortured until she was rescued. Johanna could probably handle being messed with to a point. After that, she will become very scared or very angry.
